I wanted to take a minute to thank the Ontario Paramedic Association and the Professional Paramedic Association of Ottawa for hosting the 2010 Paramedicine Conference & Expo. I had a wonderful and informative weekend filled with listening to great speakers, touring the exhibitors and being apart of the banquet. I would also like to take this opportunity to congratulate PPA members Nicole Fox-Wood, Mike Thomas, Jason Slenys, and Scott Caldwell who all received appreciation awards for their hard work this past year. Congratulations also goes out to Lisa Habis of the Region of Peel Communications Department who also received an Appreciation Award for her work on Pathways (http://pathways.peelregion.ca) and to Radhika Panjwani of the Mississauga News who received a Media Award for writing various articles which highlight Paramedics in the news. Congratulations to all of the winners of the OPA Awards Banquet! I hope all had as much fun as I did and I look forward to seeing everyone in Niagara Falls next year!
