The Peel Paramedic Association is pleased to announce our latest partnership with Charitycars.ca. Charity Cars is a environmentally friendly automotive recycler that through a network of auto industry groups, will pick up unwanted new and old vehicles and disposes of the vehicles in an environmentally friendly way. Then they make a donation in the agreed upon amount to the charity of the donor’s choice.
This group was brought to the attention of the PPA through the work of PPA member Nevada Munro who was the first to donate her old car. The PPA recently received a cheque from Charity Cars and as a charity, the PPA issues a charitable tax receipt to Nevada for the amount of the donation.
‘This is a great idea, and a great way to get rid of unwanted vehicles in an environmentally friendly way, while at the same time supporting local charities’ says Nevada
The PPA encourages everyone to invite family and friends to take advantage of this opportunity to support your local Paramedic Charity.
Money raised by the PPA goes towards PPA charitable programs such as our community CPR program that has seen over 2000 high school students taught CPR by Paramedics, and our community Car Seat Technician program, helping to keep kids safe.
