Tragedy struck in Peel earlier this year with the sudden passing of our friend and colleague, Dan Martin. While mourning his passing, his extended Paramedic family in Peel decided to honour his memory by taking up a donation to benefit his daughters Caitlin & Tamara Martin.
The PPA and our union local jointly organized this effort on behalf of Peel’s Paramedics. It’s been nearly a year and through our collective generosity over $5000.00 was raised. The trust fund has now been closed and PPA President Holly Lundrigan had the honour of presenting Caitlin & Tamara with cheques recently. Both Tamara & Caitlin couldn’t have been more grateful, or appreciative, of everyone’s efforts on their behalf and they will each be using the money towards tuition for post secondary education.
Our President would like to thank everyone who contributed to the trust fund and gave selflessly to help out the family of one of our own in their time of need.
