Farewell Rob Schembri!!

As you may have heard, Rob Schembri, former founding President of the Peel Paramedic Association has left the Paramedic Profession to pursue a career with the Region of Peel Police Department.

Rob started his EMS career in 1988 working part time at Lee’s Ambulance in Streetsville. He quickly moved on to a management position which he held until the downloading in the early 2000’s.

Rob was trained as an ACP through the Michener Institute in 2000 and started working as an ACP at Halton Mississauga Ambulance. 

In 2004 Rob was the founding president of the Peel Paramedic Association, a position he held until he passed the reigns in 2009.

He was one of the first Tactical Paramedics in Peel Region and was the lead instructor for the Peel Region Advanced Care Paramedic Program since it was moved from the Michener to Humber College in 2003.

Rob’s commitment to the residents of Peel Region, his co-workers and the Paramedic profession will be sadly missed as he embarks on his new career as a Police Officer with the Region of Peel.
